RESOLUTION 19-3084 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN <br />INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN SEMINOLE COUNTY, THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, AND MUNICIPALITIES WITHIN SEMINOLE <br />COUNTY, FOR ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICES, AS DEFINED IN PARTS <br />I AND II OF CHAPTER 20 OF THE SEMINOLE COUNTY CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry is an incorporated municipality within Seminole <br />County and, per Section 163.01, Florida Statutes, both entities are public agencies of the State of <br />Florida eligible to exercise joint powers for efficient use of public services; and <br />WHEREAS, Seminole County utilizes the Seminole County Annual Services Division <br />for animal control services throughout the county and has adopted Parts I and II of the Seminole <br />County Code of Ordinances as the "Animal Control Ordinance"; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry does not have separate animal services and desires <br />to continue to use Seminole County Animal Services within its geographic boundaries; and <br />WHEREAS, Seminole County is proposing to operate their Animal Services Division <br />and adhere to their Animal Control Ordinance for the cities of Casselberry, Altamonte Springs, <br />Lake Mary, Longwood, Oviedo, Sanford, and Winter Springs, within their respective geographic <br />municipal boundaries; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed services are included in the Interlocal Agreement between <br />Seminole County and the Cities of Altamonte Springs, Casselberry, Lake Mary, Longwood, <br />Oviedo, Sanford, and Winter Springs for Animal Control Services, hereby known as the Interlocal <br />Agreement, and shall be at no cost to the City of Casselberry. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission does hereby approve and authorize the Mayor to <br />execute the Interlocal Agreement with Seminole County and its incorporated municipalities, <br />attached to this Resolution as Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION H. Conflicts. All Resolutions, or pans of Resolutions in conflict with any <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the <br />validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />
