RESOLUTION 19-3101 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, TO ACCEPT THE COMMERCIAL SOLID <br />WASTE CONSOLIDATION STUDY BY MSW CONSULTANTS; <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City currently operates a non-exclusive franchise system for commercial <br />solid waste haulers to serve approximately 1,100 businesses within City limits; and <br />WHEREAS, there are currently ten franchise haulers from which businesses can choose <br />to use; and <br />WHEREAS, the City hired MSW Consultants (MSW) to review its current system and <br />provide recommendations for changes, including potential for consolidation of commercial <br />collection; and <br />WHEREAS, MSW completed a study of the City's commercial solid waste system and has <br />provided recommendations; and <br />WHEREAS, this information is provided in the "Commercial Solid Waste Consolidation <br />Study" for acceptance by the City Commission. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby accepts the <br />"Commercial Solid Waste Consolidation Study" conducted by MSW Consultants, attached as <br />Exhibit A. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the <br />validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br />
