RESOLUTI ®N 16 -2859 <br />WHEREAS, City -wide pavement rehabilitation projects are a crucial part of the City's <br />Neighborhood Improvement Program; and <br />WHEREAS, curb ramps and accessibility improvements are now a federal requirement <br />for certain road rehabilitation projects; and <br />WHEREAS, construction administration services help ensure the quality of these types <br />of projects once they are under construction; and <br />WHEREAS, on January 28, 2013, the City entered into Supplemental Agreement No.1 <br />to the Standard Consultant Agreement for Professional Transportation Engineering Services with <br />Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. (VHB) for the design and construction administration services for <br />pavement rehabilitation projects for Neighborhood Improvement Program Areas 1 -12; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff has determined that additional services beyond the original scope <br />of Supplemental Agreement No. 1 (and its associated Amendment No. 1) are necessary to <br />provide the level of effort needed for curb ramp /accessibility design and construction <br />administration for the third road rehabilitation project under this Supplemental Agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff has requested and VHB has provided Amendment No. 2 to <br />Supplemental Agreement No. 1 in an amount not to exceed an additional $66,367.33 to fulfill' <br />said additional services; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works staff has reviewed the proposed Amendment No. 2 to <br />Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to the Standard Consultant Agreement with VHB and finds it <br />sufficient to meet the needs of the City. <br />I` E' REFORE, BE SOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves <br />Amendment No. 2 to Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to the Standard Consultant Agreement for <br />Professional Transportation Engineering Services with Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. for an <br />amount not to exceed $66,367.33, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf <br />
