RESOLUTION 13 -2447 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE 2013 -2017 VOLUNTARY COOPERATION AGREEMENT FOR THE CITY /COUNTY /STATE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT UNIT BETWEEN THE CITIES OF CASSELBERRY, ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, LAKE MARY, LONGWOOD, MAITLAND, OVIEDO, SANFORD, WINTER SPRINGS, THE SANFORD AIRPORT AUTHORITY, THE SHERIFF OF SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA, THE FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL, THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION — MOTOR CARRIER COMPLIANCE, SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA — TRAFFIC ENGINEERING, AND THE CSX RAILROAD POLICE — ORLANDO OFFICE OF SPECIAL AGENTS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE." WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry wishes to enter into an Agreement with the cities of Altamonte Springs, Lake Mary, Longwood, Maitland, Oviedo, Sanford, Winter Springs, the Sanford Airport Authority, the Seminole County Sheriffs Office, the Florida Highway Patrol, the Florida Department of Transportation —Motor Carrier Compliance, Seminole County, Florida — Traffic Engineering, and the CSX Railroad Police —Orlando Office of Special Agents to establish a Voluntary Cooperation Agreement for the City /County /State Traffic Enforcement Unit to provide collective county- wide traffic enforcement and control set-vices on an as- needed basis. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That the 2013 -2017 Voluntary Cooperation Agreement for the City /County /State Traffic Enforcement Unit and duties of law enforcement personnel set forth therein between the City of Casselberry and the aforementioned agencies are hereby approved and will remain in effect until January 1, 2017. SECTION 11. The Mayor of the City of Casselberry is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the City of Casselberry. SECTION 111. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION IV. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION V. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this day of f_ , 2013. - ATTEST' Donna G.
