RESOLUTION 15 -2732 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 WITH APPLIED <br />HYDROGEOLOGIC SOLUTIONS, LLC FOR ADDITIONAL <br />RE'MEDIATION SERVICES FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE <br />SOUTHEAST INTERSECTION OF US HIGHWAY 17 -92 AND TRIPLET <br />LAKE DRIVE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry requested and received proposals for remediation of <br />the "City Center" site located in the southeast intersection of US Highway 17 -92 and Triplet <br />Lake Drive that contained contaminated soils from a former gas station; and <br />WHEREAS, Applied Hydrogeologic Solutions, LLC (AHS) was selected as a qualified <br />contractor and the City Commission authorized an agreement for remediation services in the <br />amount of $32, 692 via Resolution 14 -2656 on September 22, 2014; and <br />WHEREAS, to expedite the remediation process, a proposal representing Change Order <br />No. 1 in the amount of $14,790 for additional work was approved via Resolution 15 -2700 on <br />February 9, 2015, bringing the project cost to $47,482; and <br />WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection has reviewed the <br />project and requires additional laboratory testing; and <br />WHEREAS, AHS has provided Change Order No. 2 in the annual amount of $3,000 to <br />provide the additional work required; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed Change Order No. 2 for the additional laboratory <br />testing and finds it to be appropriate to meet the needs of the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves Change <br />Order No. 2 for remedial activities located at the southeast intersection of US Highway 17 -92 <br />and Triplet Lake Drive (Parcel 08- 21- 30- 5BL- 0000- 002B), Casselberry, Florida, in the amount <br />of $3,000, increasing the overall project cost to $50,482 to date, and authorizes the Mayor to <br />execute said document on behalf of the City. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolution in conflict with any <br />of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />
