RESOLUTION 14 -2601 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 5 WITH REISS ENGINEERING, INC. FOR POST - DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE CASSELBERRY WATER RECLAMATION FACILITY AERATION SYSTEM UPGRADE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry's Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) converts raw wastewater into treated effluent; and WHEREAS, the treatment process requires a significant amount of dissolved oxygen that is provided through a complex aeration system; and WHEREAS, the current aeration system is nearing the end of its useful life and can be replaced by an aeration system that is significantly more efficient; and WHEREAS, on July 9, 2012 through Resolution 12 -2395, City Commission approved award of design services for the City's WRF Aeration System to Reiss Engineering, Inc. (Reiss); and WHEREAS, during the project, City Commission approved Resolution 13 -2464 awarding additional structural design services to Reiss; and WHEREAS, on August 26, 2013 via Resolution 13 -2519, the City Commission approved a Standard Consultant Agreement with Reiss for Continuing Water and Sewer Utility Engineering Services; and WHEREAS, Reiss has submitted a scope of services proposal via Supplemental Agreement No. 5 for additional design of a third blower and post- design services for the Casselberry Water Reclamation Facility Aeration System Upgrade, for an amount not to exceed $39,270 without prior authorization; and WHEREAS, Public Works staff has reviewed Supplemental Agreement No. 5 to the Standard Consultant Agreement with Reiss and finds it favorable to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves Supplemental Agreement No. 5 to the Standard Consultant Agreement with Reiss Engineering, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $39,270 and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City.
