RESOLUTION 14 -2603 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENT NO. 44 TO THE CONTINUING CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH CPH ENGINEERS, INC. FOR EVALUATION AND DESIGN OF THE WATER RECLAMATION FACILITY INFLUENT SCREEN AND HEADWORK IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Casselbeny's Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) processes raw wastewater that is collected in the collection system and further distributes the treated effluent in the reclaimed water distribution system; and WHEREAS, the raw wastewater enters the WRF through a single point known as the headwork; I WHEREAS, the headwork has suffered corrosion from the release of hydrogen sulfide over years of use; and WHEREAS, CPH Engineers, Inc. (CPH) maintains a continuing engineering services contract with the City of Casselbeny; and WHEREAS, Public Works staff negotiated with CPH and obtained a cost proposal for Supplemental Agreement No. 44, for an amount not to exceed $20,528 without prior authorization, to provide evaluation and design of Casselbeny's Water Reclamation Facility Influent Screen and Headwork Improvements Project; and WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed Supplemental Agreement No. 44 and finds it favorable to meet the needs of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselbeny hereby approves Supplemental Agreement No. 44 with CPH Engineers, Inc. for the evaluation and design of the Water Reclamation Facility Influent Screen and Headwork Improvements Project for an amount of $20,528, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document(s) on behalf of the City. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed.
