RESOLUTION 97 -1008 <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, TO ACCEPT THE <br />REPORT OF CODY & ASSOCIATES OF DECEMBER 9, 1996 ON <br />CLASSIFICATION AND PAY STUDY FOR THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, AND <br />DIRECT LIMITED IMPLEMENTATION OF ITS RECOMMENDATIONS; <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry has provided for a <br />classification, pay and benefits study through appropriation within the current year's budget; and <br />WHEREAS, prudent management practices require such reviews to be undertaken on a <br />periodic basis, as such have been done in the past at the City of Casselberry; and <br />WHEREAS, Cody & Associates, an experienced public entity employment consultant, <br />was properly engaged to perform such service; and <br />WHEREAS, a significant portion of such service has been completed and is reflected in <br />their report to the City of Casselberry of December 9, 1996; and <br />WHEREAS, in order to properly adjust the existing pay and classification plan, and <br />provide necessary direction to staff to negotiate employee pay and benefits, the Commission <br />must accept said report and approve its limited implementation. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION ONE. The report dated December 9, 1996 from Cody & Associates regarding <br />Casselberry classification and pay is accepted. <br />SECTION TWO. The City Manager and labor negotiations bargaining team are directed <br />to follow the findings and recommendations of said report to the maximum extent practicable for <br />upcoming negotiable and bargaining issues. <br />SECTION THREE. The City Manager is directed to implement the salary related <br />recommendations of Cody & Associates for non -union employees and to follow the <br />recommendations of Cody & Associates in developing proposals for any fringe benefits changes. <br />SECTION FOUR. Conflicts. <br />All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this <br />Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />
