RESOLUTION 14 -2559 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />AMENDING AND RATIFYING ARTICLE 33, WAGES, OF THE <br />COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE COASTAL FLORIDA <br />POLICE BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION; PROVIDING FOR <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission and the Coastal Florida Police Benevolent <br />Association have a collective bargaining agreement for the term beginning October 1, <br />2012 and ending September 30, 2015; and <br />WHEREAS, the City and the Coastal Florida Police Benevolent Association have <br />negotiated to amend Article 33, Wages, modifying the collective bargaining agreement to <br />allow for a 3% wage increase effective January 19, 2014; and <br />WHEREAS, the Coastal Florida Police Benevolent Association have endorsed <br />and submitted the amendment to Article 33 to the employees represented by the unit; and <br />WHEREAS, the employees represented by the Coastal Florida Police Benevolent <br />Association completed a voting process and the majority of the collected votes were in <br />favor of the amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, the collective bargaining agreement contributes to the City's <br />strategic goals. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION <br />OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby amends and ratifies Article 33, Wages, <br />(attached as Exhibit A) of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of <br />Casselberry and the Coastal Florida Police Benevolent Association. <br />SECTION 2. CONFLICTS. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict <br />with any of the provisions of the Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY. If any Section or portion of a Section of this <br />Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to <br />invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this <br />Resolution. <br />SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Resolution shall become effective <br />immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br />
