RESOLUTION 14 -2564 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO SUPPLEMENTAL <br />AGREEMENT NO. 2 WITH CDM SMITH, INC. FOR ADDITIONAL <br />SERVICES RELATED TO THE TRIPLET LAKE DRIVE <br />IMPROVEMENTS (SIGNATURE STREET) PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Triplet Lake Drive Signature Street is an important project that will <br />provide additional sanitary sewer service, improve drainage, create a more complete street, and <br />enhance connectivity; and <br />WHEREAS, while much of the Signature Street project has been designed in- house, <br />additional work is needed to efficiently bring the design to completion; and <br />WHEREAS, in September 2013, the City entered into Supplemental Agreement No. 2 to <br />the Standard Consultant Agreement with CDM Smith, Inc. for Professional Services for <br />Transportation Engineering to provide limited design and post design services related to the <br />Signature Street project; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff has determined that additional design services beyond the <br />original scope of Supplemental Agreement No. 2 are necessary to efficiently deliver the project, <br />and, as a result, CDM Smith, Inc. has provided a proposal of $59,956 in the form of Amendment <br />No. I to fulfill said additional services; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works staff has reviewed Amendment No. 1 to Supplemental <br />Agreement No. 2 to the Standard Consultant Agreement with CDM Smith, Inc. for Professional <br />Services for Transportation Engineering and finds it sufficient to meet the needs of the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves <br />Amendment No. 1 to Supplemental Agreement No. 2 to the Standard Consultant Agreement with <br />CDM Smith, Inc. for Professional Services for Transportation Engineering for an amount not to <br />exceed $59,956 and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. <br />SECTION H. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the <br />validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />
