RESOLUTION 14 -2567 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE AGREEMENT WITH ATLANTIC CIVIL, CONSTRUCTORS CORPORATION FOR CASSELBERRY GREENWAY TRAIL SECTION 3 PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, at its April 22, 2013 meeting, the City Commission approved a Local Agency Program agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation for the Casselberry Greenway Trail Section 3 Project via Resolution 13 -2491; and WHEREAS, at its January 13, 2014 meeting, the City Commission approved Local Agency Program Agreement Supplemental No.l with the Florida Department of Transportation to increase fimding for the Casselberry Greenway Trail Section 3 Project via Resolution 14 -2566; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry received the Notice to Proceed from the Florida Department of Transportation; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry requested proposals from qualified contractors via an advertisement in the Orlando Sentinel on July 14, 2013 for the Casselberry Greenway Trail Section 3 Project; and WHEREAS, on August 21, 2013 the City held a public bid opening where five (5) sealed bids were received; and WHEREAS, Atlantic Civil Constructors Corporation submitted the lowest responsive, responsible, and adequate bid in the amount of $1,588,458.69 and has experience performing similar work; and WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed the bid proposal from Atlantic Civil Constructors Corporation and finds it adequate to meet the project requirements of the City. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the Agreement with Atlantic Civil Constructors Corporation and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed.
