RESOLUTION 14 -2567 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF THE AGREEMENT WITH ATLANTIC CIVIL, <br />CONSTRUCTORS CORPORATION FOR CASSELBERRY GREENWAY <br />TRAIL SECTION 3 PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, at its April 22, 2013 meeting, the City Commission approved a Local <br />Agency Program agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation for the Casselberry <br />Greenway Trail Section 3 Project via Resolution 13 -2491; and <br />WHEREAS, at its January 13, 2014 meeting, the City Commission approved Local <br />Agency Program Agreement Supplemental No.l with the Florida Department of Transportation <br />to increase fimding for the Casselberry Greenway Trail Section 3 Project via Resolution 14 -2566; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry received the Notice to Proceed from the Florida <br />Department of Transportation; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry requested proposals from qualified contractors via an <br />advertisement in the Orlando Sentinel on July 14, 2013 for the Casselberry Greenway Trail <br />Section 3 Project; and <br />WHEREAS, on August 21, 2013 the City held a public bid opening where five (5) sealed <br />bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS, Atlantic Civil Constructors Corporation submitted the lowest responsive, <br />responsible, and adequate bid in the amount of $1,588,458.69 and has experience performing <br />similar work; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed the bid proposal from Atlantic Civil Constructors <br />Corporation and finds it adequate to meet the project requirements of the City. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the <br />Agreement with Atlantic Civil Constructors Corporation and authorizes the Mayor to execute said <br />document on behalf of the City. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />
