RESOLUTION 13 -2490 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE <br />SEMINOLE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE FOR INTERAGENCY <br />CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND COMPUTER SUPPORT; PROVIDING <br />FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Seminole County Sheriff's Office presently has the benefit of access to the <br />Florida Criminal Justice network (CJNet), National Crime Information Center (NCIC), the Florida Crime <br />Information Center (FCIC), and the Interstate Identification Index (III) all hereafter as FCIC, via network <br />connectivity to the FDLE; and <br />WHEREAS, the Seminole County Sheriff's Office has developed sophisticated law enforcement <br />software which is presently in use by other law enforcement agencies and criminal justice agencies and is <br />supported and maintained by Sheriff's Office staff on a seven days per week, twenty -four hours per day <br />basis; and <br />WHEREAS, the Casselberry Police Department has determined that it is advantageous to enter <br />into a contractual agreement with the Seminole County Sheriff's Office for the provision of criminal <br />justice computer software services, including continued access to FCIC and state /national criminal justice <br />information for the administration of criminal justice. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF <br />THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the agreement <br />with the Seminole County Sheriff's Office for interagency criminal justice and computer support, as set <br />forth and attached hereto, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said agreement on behalf of the City. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to <br />be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or <br />effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV.
