RESOLUTION 13 -2496 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CODE OF <br />PARLIAMENTARY PROCEDURES; GRANTING THE CITY <br />MANAGER THE AUTHORITY TO MODIFY THE CITY <br />COMMISSION AGENDA FORMAT; REPEALING RESOLUTION 06- <br />1703; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, Section 4.17 of the Casselberry City Charter provides that the City Commission <br />shall determine its own rules and order of business; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to amend and update the Code of Parliamentary <br />Procedures previously amended and adopted in 2006 by Resolution 06 -1703 as its `Exhibit A'; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission Meeting & Agenda Policies which were adopted by <br />Resolution 06 -1703 as its `Exhibit B' were further amended in 2009 by Resolution 09 -2102; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to allow the City Manager the flexibility to modify the <br />City Commission agenda format as business needs and circumstances change; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission agenda format was previously adopted by Resolution 06 -1703 <br />as its `Exhibit C'; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to repeal Resolution 06 -1703 for clarity's sake. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF <br />THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry, Florida hereby adopts the City <br />Commission Code of Parliamentary Procedures attached hereto and made a part hereof. Further, the City <br />Commission hereby grants the City Manager the authority to modify the City Commission agenda format <br />as business needs and circumstances change. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. That Resolution 06 -1703 is hereby repealed in its entirety, including its <br />`Exhibit C', the City Commission agenda format, and all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict <br />with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to <br />be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or <br />effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV. Effective Date.
