RESOLUTION 11 -2228 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE AGREEMENT WITH CENTRAL FLORIDA ENVIRONMENTAL CORPORATION FOR THE NORTH WINTER PARK DRIVE PHASE H PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." WHEREAS, at its October 25, 2010 meeting, the City Commission approved a Local Agency Program agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation for the North Winter Park Drive Phase 11 Project, via Resolution 10 -2194; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry received the Notice to Proceed fi-om the FDOT on November 2,2010; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry requested proposals from qualified contractors via an advertisement in the Orlando Sentinel on December 19 and 26, 2010 for the North Winter Park Drive Phase II Project; and WHEREAS, on January 18, 2011, the City held a public bid opening where seven (7) sealed bids were received; and WHEREAS, Central Florida Environmental Corporation submitted the lowest responsive, responsible, and adequate bid in the amount of $2,250,749.97 and has experience performing similar work; and WHEREAS, City staff have reviewed the bid proposal from Central Florida Environmental Corporation and finds it adequate to meet the project requirements of the City. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the Agreement with Central Florida Environmental Corporation, attached as "Attachment A ", and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. SECTION H. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
