RESOLUTION 11 -2227 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A PROPOSAL FROM COMMERCIAL SYSTEMS GROUP (CSG) FOR THE SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE OF UPGRADES AND ENHANCEMENTS TO THE ACCESS CONTROL SECURITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, CITY HALL AND PUBLIC WORKS /FIRE ADMINSTRATION BUILDING; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE." WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry currently has an access control security management system at the Police Department building which was installed by Commercial Systems Group (CSG); and WHEREAS, sale of the original access control system in the Police building, Identicard /IdentiPass, has been discontinued by the vendor, CSG, and replaced with the next generation hardware and software platform, PremiSys; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry is committed to providing increased security to its buildings and desires to upgrade the existing access control system at the Police Department and expand the system to City Hall and the Public Works /Fire Administration Building; and WHEREAS, CSG proposes to upgrade the current IdentiCard /IdentiPass system at the Police Department to the PremiSys platform and expand the new access control system to City Hall and the Public Works/Fire Administration Building; and WHEREAS, City staff desires to increase the security of City buildings, has reviewed the proposal from CSG and finds it acceptable as a sole source purchase for compatibility purposes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the proposal from Commercial Systems Group (Attachment A) in the amount of $44,090.00 for upgrading and installing an access control security management system (PremiSys) at the Police Department, City Hall and Public Works/Fire Administration buildings, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. SECTION II. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves a contingency amount of $2,204.50 to be used for payment of unforeseen issues which may be encountered during installation of the PremiSys access control security management system. SECTION III. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed.
