All were present. <br />o MINUTES <br />A. Minutes of January 14, 2013 — Regular Meeting <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to approve the minutes of the January 14, <br />2013 Regular Meeting, as presented. Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor <br />Solomon. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5 — 0. <br />A. Police Department Community Survey Presentation <br />Police Chief Bill McNeil reminded the Commission that last year the Police Department had reached out to the <br />University of Central Florida for assistance in conducting a community survey. He stated that he felt it was <br />important to identify what the community's feelings were about the Police Department so the department <br />would be able to put together a plan of action if they were meeting the needs of the community, and identify a <br />course of action if they were not. Chief McNeil then introduced Dr. Jacinta Gau fi•om the University of <br />Florida, who gave a presentation on the survey results. Copies of the presentation, the survey results and <br />the 'survey format are attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br />Connnissioner- Solomon left the Chambers at 8:13 p. m, and returned at 8:17p. in, <br />The Commissioners thanked Dr. Gau for conducting the survey, and thanked Chief McNeil and all the Police <br />Department staff for the good job and the positive impact they have on the community. Chief McNeil <br />recognized Ms. Karen Gilbert for her assistance getting the survey project going. He thanked Dr. Gau for her <br />work with the Police Department, stating that he felt a great foundation for future programs had been <br />established with UCF. He presented her with a plaque in appreciation for her work on the survey. - <br />Chief McNeil concluded by stating that the positive results of the survey were proof that the members of the <br />Casselberry Police Department were all dedicated individuals who give their best to the Casselberry <br />community on a daily basis, and he was proud to work with them and thankful for the support he has been <br />afforded during his tenure as Chief. He also thanked the Commissioners for their support and the trust placed <br />in him and in the department. <br />Mayor Glancy called a recess at 8:32 p.m. Mayor Glancy reconvened the meeting at 8:40 p.m. <br />
