CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Glancy called the April 13, 2009 workshop of the Casselberry City Commission to order at <br />6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />PARKING IN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS: <br />ADDRESSING "OTHER ISSUES" <br /> <br />AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />Presentation: Ms. Sandra Smith, Chief Planner, gave a presentation on the proposed amendments addressing <br />other issues for parking in residential districts. A revised presentation and a draft ordinance were distributed to <br />the City Commission, and these documents are attached to and made a part of these minutes. The draft <br />ordinance addressed the following previous discussion points: <br /> <br />II Designated parking area alignment - Parallel to the driveway. <br />II Front yard coverage - Parking required in the front yard and to one side. Driveway width limited to <br />the width of the garage/carport. No maximum area provided for pervious area. Impervious area <br />maximum is based on adopted Table 2-5.3 for the entire site. Parking in the right-of-way is not <br />addressed in the ordinance. <br />II Approved materials - Both pervious and impervious for existing. Impervious only for new and <br />redevelopment construction. No parking on grass or ditto <br />II Conformance required for existing properties: Locate parking on one side, provide either pervious or <br />impervious material (not grass) for prepared parking area (May be a combination of bot h), and provide <br />edging/border if pervious materials are used. <br />
