RESOLUTIOl®110-2122 <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORH)A APPROVIl~IG Al®TD <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A PROPOSAL WITH DAVEY RESOURCE <br />GROUP AS A COOPERATIVE PURCHASE FOR A TREE II~1VEl®TTORY OF <br />CASSELBERRY PARIKS, STREET MEDIANS AA1D RIGHT-OF-WAYS; PROVH)II~TG <br />FOR COI`TFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AIVD EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry was awarded a grant through the Urban and <br />Community Forestay Grant Program on September 28, 2009 to conduct a tree inventory in the <br />City Parks, street medians and right-of--ways; and <br />WHEREAS, an inventory will identify the City's tree species, locations, health of trees <br />and assist with the maintenance, care and replanting programs through a managed approach; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry is committed through adopted landscaping and tree <br />protection ordinances; site plan reviews and redevelopment; daily operations of the Parlcs and <br />Facilities Division and the Public Works Department; and the dispersal of arbor information to <br />the general public to take a proactive role in the establishment and maintenance of trees located <br />within the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to complete the tree inventory and accepts the proposal <br />from Davey Resource Group. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSIOI~T OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the <br />proposal by Davey Resource Group (Attachment A) in the amount of $25,000 for the purpose of <br />conducting a tree inventory, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the <br />City. <br />SECTIOI®T II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTIOhT III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawfiil, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the <br />validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTIOI`t N. Effective Date.
