Certificate of Completion - The City Manager presented the Certificate for Completion <br />of the 2007 Advanced Institute for Municipal Elected Officials to Vice <br />Mayor/Commissioner Susan Doerner. <br /> <br />B. Certificate of Completion - The City Manager presented the Certificate for Completion <br />of the 2007 Advanced Institute for Municipal Elected Officials to Commissioner Sandra <br />Solomon.. <br /> <br />C. Departmental Presentation - Sandra Smith, Chief Planner gave a presentation <br />regarding the Small and Large Scale Comp Plan Amendment. A synopsis of the <br />presentation is attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />D. St. Johns River Water Management District -Alternative Water Supply Projects- <br /> <br />I. Nancy Christman, Senior Intergovernmental Coordinator for the St John River <br />Water Management District, 975 Keller Road, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714 <br /> <br />2. Jerry Salsano, Taurant Consultant, St. Johns River Water Management District, <br />2624 Orchard Drive, Apopka, FL <br /> <br />Ms. Christman presented a packet of information which included an overview ofthe water <br />supply planning process in the Central Florida area over the last ten years and justification for <br />the need to transition from using groundwater to using alternative surface water projects. Mr. <br />Salsano gave a power point presentation regarding the different scenarios available to entities <br />regarding alternative water supplies. Both presentations are attached to and made a part of these <br />minutes. <br /> <br />7. Citizens Comments: <br /> <br />The Mayor stated that persons who wish to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />Agenda may do so at this time. Please raise your hand to be recognized, give your name and address to <br />speak on any matter. All comments are to be directed to the Mayor and City Commission. If you wish to <br />be heard during Public Hearings, you will be recognized at that time. <br /> <br />The following individual came forward to address the Commission: <br /> <br />I) John Casselberry, 700 S. Lost Lake Lane, Casselberry, FL, addressed concerns regarding <br />cleaning and mowing along the shoreline of the lakes. He also questioned the City's <br />annexation policy that is predicated upon utility service. <br />
