RESOLUTION 06-1644 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF ACCEPTANCE OF A PROPOSAL FROM NAZTEC, INC. TO PROVIDE AlL EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES TO UPGRADE THREE (3) TRAFFIC SIGNAl CABINETS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." WHEREAS, in the event of an emergency the need for emergency vehicles to arrive in a timely manner is paramount; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry has, through Seminole County, obtained a proposal to upgrade all traffic signals in the City to full OPTICOM; and WHEREAS, as part of this OPTICOM upgrade it is necessary to upgrade three (3) traffic light signal cabinets on Winter Park Drive; and WHEREAS, the quote received from NAZTEC, Inc. has a continuing services agreement for work with Seminole County, and is responsive and responsible; and WHEREAS, the City staff has reviewed the proposal for services by NAZTEC, Inc. and found it to be complete, competitive, and adequate for the project and recommends approval. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves proposal with NAZTEC, Inc. (attached as "Exhibit A"), and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severabilitv. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED ,'" ADOPTED o;'~d'Y of r~7f . AD 2006.
